        Pastel on canvas of young girl wearing pearls size 33cm wide by 41cm high.  A Colson the stamped name  on the back refers to the fifteen year patent for wood based papers Toile Ligneuse (wooden fabric) for pastels which ran from March 1848 to January 1864. The company was taken over by Rieffel from 1851-1862 then Tardif from 1862-1872
